I wanted to create a project that talked about the relationship between Fashion and Art because I believe that saying that Fashion is nothing more than a random match of clothes that you wear is only an exhibition of ignorance and non-understanding.
If the Fashion Industry is that relevant there has to be a further reason than just functionality.
One of the main and most curious characteristics of Art is that it is a part of the humankind since the beginning of it and it has taken place in every society of every country or culture. For me, Fashion is more than just matching a t-shirt and jeans. Fashion is a language that speaks about the person wearing it: their circumstances, the time the live in, who they are, who they want to be. Through Fashion, people find a way to express their identity and feelings. Its an expression in movement. Just like Anna Wintour said: "There is something about Fashion that can make people very nervous".
